Cardiac Computed Tomographic Angiography (CTA) Training

Are you a physician or tech looking to enhance your skills in CTA reading? Then The Christ Hospital Cardiac Computed Tomographic Angiography (CTA) Training Program may be for you!

Through this small interactive group program, you’ll receive comprehensive training and case work credentials for ACC/AHA Level II training in cardiac CTA for cardiologists, radiologists, and CT technologists in CT coronary angiography. Participants will experience individualized, hands-on training using vital images and Tera Recon workstations. You will also experience at least 100 diversified mentored cases in coronary CTA imaging including but not limited to coronary anomalies, bypass grafts, stents, aneurysms, aortic dissections, and valvular diseases. In addition, 50 live cases of known cardiac pathology will be completed, and there will be a special emphasis on recognition of artifacts and plaque characteristics.

The Course Objectives are to:

  • Provide experience using Vitrea and Tera Recon workstations.
  • Recognize a variety of cardiac and coronary pathologies.
  • Gain proficiency in patient preparation and image acquisition.
  • Understand how to utilize calcium scoring.
  • Review and discuss significant extra cardiac pathology.
