At The Christ Hospital Spine Institute, we offer a multi-disciplinary approach to diagnosing and treating back and neck problems. Our team of orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, interventional radiologists, pain management physicians and physical therapists work together to care for you. This ensures you receive the best possible care from the experts best suited to provide it.
Dedicated Care
From your very first phone call, answered by a registered nurse who specializes in spine conditions, you can be sure the care you receive at the Spine Institute is from experts dedicated to the care and treatment of the spine. In fact, our physicians and surgeons have performed more spine procedures than any other hospital in the area. And, when it comes to spine care, experience matters.
Through careful evaluation, we identify the source of your spinal problem and work with you to determine the optimal treatment. With a focus on non-operative care, treatment can range from pain management, to interventional radiology, physical therapy, chiropractic care or even to surgery if it proves to be necessary. The goal is always to return you to good health with the most appropriate and least intrusive care plan.
If surgery proves to be necessary, minimally invasive techniques are utilized whenever possible to ensure a speedy and relatively pain free recovery. To this end, our surgeons employ the latest techniques with state-of-the-art equipment, such as the O-arm® Multidimensional Imaging System, which provides real-time, high-resolution 3-D images of the spine during surgery. Or the Stealth Intra-operative Guidance System which further enhances surgical precision. Continuous electrophysiological spinal cord and nervous system monitoring is also frequently used by our surgeons to protect against neural injury. Once surgery is complete, expert nursing care is provided on our dedicated spinal unit.
