Donor Recognition

Your generosity deserves recognition

At The Christ Hospital, our accomplishments in patient care have been nurtured by the legacy of our committed donors. To show our appreciation, we offer a number of recognition programs to honor our donors and their generosity.

1888 Society

The 1888 Society was established in 1988 in honor of The Christ Hospital's 100th anniversary and to recognize the generosity and vision of individuals who made significant annual contributions to the hospital. Those who founded The 1888 Society did so with the knowledge that their philanthropic gifts to the hospital would be turned into better medicine from which the community would benefit almost immediately. Today, we are pleased to honor annual donors of $1,000 and more in this recognition society.

Naming Opportunities

Named recognition is meaningful and personal. It also promotes fundraising within our region and recognizes leadership within the community. The Christ Hospital, through its Foundation, proudly recognizes donors by granting naming opportunities of its facilities/programs that balance the interests of donors with the hospital's.

Please contact the Foundation office if you are interested in a naming opportunity to commensurate with the size of your donation.

Leadership Giving

Donors who give $100,000 or more to The Christ Hospital over their lifetime make a powerful impact on the programs they support. We are proud to recognize those who give at or above this level in meaningful ways. Now, in the new main lobby, a custom-made donor tribute wall honors the hospital's founders and philanthropic leaders, showcasing each of donor's name etched in crystal glass and infused with light.

Legacy Society

The Legacy Society was created to recognize and honor exceptionally committed individuals who understand the importance of ensuring that The Christ Hospital continue its efforts to provide excellence in healthcare, and who have provided critical, long-term support through their estate plans.

As part of your financial or estate plan, the benefits of a gift to The Christ Hospital are immeasurable, enabling you to support and strengthen its mission. In addition, gifts made through estate planning can provide material benefits to you—benefits such as reduced or eliminated capital gains taxes, charitable tax deductions, reduced or eliminated estate taxes, lifelong income, and improved income from low-yielding assets.
