Continuing Medical Education

Continuing Medical Education at The Christ Hospital

CME refers to educational opportunities that promote high quality patient care, educate health care providers on updated research, techniques and standards, and enhance the health status of the community. The primary target audience for CME is physicians who have completed residency/fellowship training and entered clinical practice.

In accordance with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) guidelines, our mission is to enhance physician competence and performance in the six core competencies. These core competencies are: 1) patient care, 2) medical knowledge, 3) practice-based learning and improvement, 4) interpersonal and communication skills, 5) professionalism and 6) systems-based practice.

The Christ Hospital is accredited through the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) to provide CME. Physicians and physician assistants may receive CME credits commensurate with their participation in a CME activity. Allied health personnel may use CME credits to fulfill continuing education requirements for licensing purposes.
