April 2011
I am 49 year-old woman and have given birth to two children (both vaginally). I have a history of chronic constipation and urinary tract infections. I had noticed more and more that I needed to urinate frequently and I had a constant “full bladder” feeling. I was getting to the point where I would often not make it to the bathroom in time. I had also been feeling what I thought to be my bladder inside my vagina causing a very uncomfortable feeling.
While talking with a co-worker who’d had similar problems, she highly recommended that I talk to the doctor who had performed her procedure – Dr. Mickey Karram with The Christ Hospital.
After doing some research, I made an appointment with Dr. Karram. I immediately felt at ease. Dr. Karram was very professional and easy to work with, and I felt I was in good hands.
Dr. Karram told me I had a dropped bladder, a prolapsed uterus and rectocele—basically, most of my pelvic organs had fallen into the wrong place. So I scheduled surgery with Dr. Karram to correct these issues.
My surgery was performed at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. This is a very nice facility with a very professional staff of nurses, doctors and assistants.
The procedure itself went far better than I could have imagined, and I have been amazed at how very little pain I have experienced. My bladder works and my pelvic organs are back where they are supposed to be.
Dr. Karram has greatly increased my standard of living and has my utmost respect and thanks. I will be a very vocal advocate to women that they do not have to live with similar problems, and I will strongly recommend Dr. Karram as a solution.
