Welcome to The Urologic & Pelvic Floor Testing Center
Nearly 30 percent of all women will develop a
pelvic floor disorder in their lifetime, but many don’t seek help. They may be too uncomfortable talking about their symptoms, think it’s just a normal part of aging, assume these kinds of problems can’t be corrected, or just aren’t sure what kind of specialist to see.
The good news is many women have regained control thanks to The Christ Hospital Urologic and Pelvic Floor Testing Center, one of a few centers of its kind in the nation. Our team of physicians, specially trained nurses, physician’s assistants and physical therapists are sensitive to the embarrassment many women feel and are highly specialized, working together to offer new treatments and techniques, including non-invasive options and minimally invasive surgery, to help women find relief.
Our unique multidisciplinary approach means that our physicians and support staff work side-by-side, complementing each other in their areas of expertise: urogynecology, colon and rectal surgery, urology and physical therapy. This is a benefit to our patients because various pelvic floor issues often coexist. For example, patients who have pelvic organ prolapse often experience issues with incontinence, and vice versa. Our specialists can evaluate the patients’ issues simultaneously, and, if surgery is needed, often address the issues in one surgical approach. And they do all this in a friendly, collaborative environment.
