Katie Neack

College of Pharmacy: University of Cincinnati
Hometown: Cold Spring, KY
Interests: I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, watching movies, and my dog.
Why TCH? What drew me to TCH was the positive experiences I had both on rotations and on my interview day. The team at TCH is very supportive of their students and residents, putting a strong focus on mentoring relationships.
Advice for students interested in pursuing a residency: If you have even the tiniest thought in your mind that you want to go the residency route, do it! Do everything you can throughout pharmacy school to build relationships with preceptors and faculty and put together a strong CV. And be yourself during interviews!

Shelby Moore

College of Pharmacy: University of Cincinnati
Hometown: Cincinnati
Interests: I love traveling and hiking, running and spin classes, trying new breweries with my husband, and spoiling my mini golden doodle, Mildred.
Why TCH? I chose TCH because of the large pharmacy presence, wide variety of clinical opportunities, and the dedicated and supportive preceptors.
Advice for students interested in pursuing a residency: Stay organized and take notes during the craziness of interview season! Details about programs can get confusing if you're applying to several programs.

Kayla Brackman

College of Pharmacy: University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy
Hometown: Jackson, OH
Interests: Since moving to Cincinnati, I’ve really enjoyed trying lots of cool new restaurants. Sleepy Bee Cafe and Taste of Belgium are a couple of my favorites. I also enjoy cooking, going to the gym, watching Friends and This Is Us, and all things Fall. Oh, and I love trying all of Lauren’s delicious baked goods!
Why TCH? The people! The pharmacy preceptors are some of the most passionate and genuine people I’ve ever met and they all have a desire to teach and train residents. Everyone at the hospital is really great, but the preceptors are what make this program so special.
Advice for students interested in pursuing a residency: Go on site visits! I actually didn’t attend Midyear during my 4th year of pharmacy school because I knew I wanted to stay around the area to be close to friends and family. Instead, I set up times to visit some of the places I was interested in like TCH! I would encourage you to reach out to RPDs if you’re in a similar situation!

Lauren Lowery

College of Pharmacy: University of Cincinnati
Hometown: Irmo, South Carolina
Interests: I love to try out new recipes from the Great British Baking Show to bring into work! I also love hiking and visiting my boyfriend in Salt Lake City.
Why TCH? I love the supportive environment here! Everyone works so well together and truly wants residents to succeed.
Advice for students interested in pursuing a residency: Don't be afraid to put yourself out there- use your application and letter of intent to show your interest in a program!
