Dr. Miller earned her bachelor of science in Chemistry and bachelor of arts in Psychology from Berry College in Rome, Georgia, and her medical degree from the University of North Carolina. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Maryland and her surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, where she also served as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery in the Department of Surgery.
Dr. Miller has served as the Director of Trauma at Beebe Medical Center (Lewes, Delaware), Medical Director of Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the Cincinnati Veteran Affairs Medical Center, as the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Director at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. During medical school, Dr. Miller was awarded the Holderness Research Fellowship, Fellowship from the North Carolina Academy of Science. She is has served and continues to be active on several committees and boards, has been actively involved in many research programs, and is well-published in her field. A board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Miller is also a member of The American College of Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons, and National Consortium of Breast Centers.
