Greater Cincinnati’s Heart Hospital℠ Goes Red for Heart Month

The Christ Hospital Offering Simple Ways to Learn More and Help Build Heart Disease Awareness

Cincinnati (Jan. 28, 2016) – The Christ Hospital Health Network is gearing up to Go Red in support of February as American Heart Month and as the presenting sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women initiative – a program focused on educating women about their risk of heart disease and stroke.
Heart disease is the #1 killer of both men and women, but it is preventable. Fight back during American Heart Month by learning about the condition and the ways you can improve your odds. The Christ Hospital is offering simple ways for you to learn more and help build your heart disease awareness:

• Upload a photo or image of what makes you feel Young at Heart to The Christ Hospital’s Facebook page or Instagram account using #ForThePursuit. For every #ForThePursuit photo shared, you are entered to win a weekly prize giveaway*.

• Do you know how to survive a heart attack? View our video to learn why you should have a plan in case of an emergency: https://www.thechristhospital.com/services/heart/heart-attack

• Throughout February we are collecting stories from patients of The Christ Hospital Physicians who want to inspire and educate our community. We will highlight patients and their physician to help build heart disease awareness. Stories will be collected through Facebook and two lucky female patients will be chosen to receive a makeover from Go Red For Women and have the opportunity to share their story at the 11th annual Go Red For Women Experience on May 5th at the Duke Energy Convention Center.

Additional events:

• Monday, Feb. 1: Red will illuminate from the top of Mt. Auburn as The Christ Hospital tower, one of the most iconic and recognizable structures in Cincinnati, is lit red. View our video to learn more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qt3b5Rf91eY&feature=youtu.be
