Greater Cincinnati’s Heart Hospital℠ Goes Red for Heart Month

Fight Back During American Heart Month

Cincinnati (Jan. 30, 2017) – The Christ Hospital Health Network is gearing up to Go Red in support of February as American Heart Month and as the presenting sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women initiative – a program focused on educating women about their risk of heart disease and stroke.
Heart disease is the #1 killer of both men and women, but it is preventable. Fight back during American Heart Month by learning about the condition and the ways you can improve your odds. The Christ Hospital is offering simple ways for you to learn more and help build your heart disease awareness:

• Do you know how to survive a heart attack? View our video to learn why you should have a plan in case of an emergency.
• Throughout February we are collecting stories from patients of The Christ Hospital Physicians who want to inspire and educate our community. We will highlight patients and their physician to help build heart disease awareness, and the wonderful life you can lead after diagnosis. Patients interested in sharing their story during Heart Month are welcome to write a short paragraph about themselves, diagnosis, treatment and how life is now. Picture are encouraged. Submit your stories to Jenny.Collopy@TheChristHospital.com by 2/15/17.
Additional events:
• Wednesday, Feb. 1: Red will illuminate from the top of Mt. Auburn as The Christ Hospital tower, one of the most iconic and recognizable structures in Cincinnati, is lit red. View our video to learn more.
• Friday, Feb. 3: National Go Red Day. Wear red to show your support in the fight against heart disease.
