The Christ Hospital Health Network is pleased to announce that we have been named a 2017 Guardian of Excellence Award® winner by Press Ganey

The Christ Hospital Health Network is pleased to announce that we have been named a 2017 Guardian of Excellence Award® winner by Press Ganey for patient experience at both our Mt. Auburn main campus and the Ft. Wright Outpatient Center. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing healthcare organizations that have consistently achieved the 95th percentile or above of performance in patient experience.

The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized symbol of achievement in healthcare. Presented annually, the award honors clients that consistently sustain performance in the top five percent of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year. The award represents an important recognition from the industry’s leader in measuring, understanding and improving the patient experience.

The Christ Hospital’s award-winning patient experience begins with strong service standards, reinforced daily in safety and quality huddles among staff. The network also relies on extensive patient and guest feedback through surveys, administrative rounding and focus groups.

“Listening to patients and adopting their perspective is crucial to creating exceptional experiences,” said Deborah Hayes, Vice President and COO of The Christ Hospital. “We are constantly looking to utilize technologies that make it easier for patients seeking care: online capabilities, nurse navigators and staff members extensively trained in customer service are all critical elements.”

“This award affirms our efforts to uphold the highest standards of patient experience, and encourages us to continue ensuring our patients and guests receive the utmost care and compassion,” said Hayes.

"We are proud to partner with The Christ Hospital Health Network,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of Press Ganey. “This award is a testament to the organization’s leadership in delivering patient-centered care. By achieving and sustaining this level of excellence, The Christ Hospital Health Network continues to demonstrate their commitment to reducing patient suffering and advancing the overall quality of health care.”
