Dr. Elbert Nelson Receives Lifetime Achievement Award from Cradle Cincinnati

Dr. Nelson was recently recognized for championing maternal and infant health in Cincinnati

Dr. Nelson was recently recognized for championing maternal and infant health in Cincinnati his entire career by Cradle Cincinnati— a local collaborative focused on reducing infant deaths. Dr. Nelson serves as Residency Director and Division Chief of OB/GYN at The Christ Hospital. Since retiring from private practice, he continues to invest his energy and time into projects he’s passionate about, including:

• Improving maternal care and patient safety at Christ Hospital;

• Teaching the next generation of obstetric and gynecologic doctors and nurses;

• And providing guidance for several hospital and nonprofit committees and boards, including Cradle Cincinnati.

Under his leadership, Christ Hospital has compassionately cared for thousands of women and delivered thousands of healthy, thriving babies. Dr. Nelson is an incredible asset to our organization, the city of Cincinnati and is well deserving of only the second Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Cradle Cincinnati.
