The Christ Hospital Launches First Onsite Clinic to Local Employer

The Christ Hospital has opened their first onsite clinic at Atkins & Pearce, a local manufacturing company located in Covington, KY

The Christ Hospital has opened their first onsite clinic at Atkins & Pearce, a local manufacturing company located in Covington, KY. The onsite clinic, which is approximately 2,500 square feet, includes three exam rooms operated by a newly hired, certified nurse practitioner. The clinic offers annual physicals, sick visits, preventative care, blood pressure screenings and more.

The clinic will be serving Atkins & Pearce’s 265 employees plus dependents. “We are extremely excited to partner with The Christ Hospital to give our employees access to an on-site clinic. Employees will be able to get immediate care for anything they need from well visits to illness treatment and injuries. The clinic will also help us in attracting and retaining employees, reduction in lost time, ergonomic improvements, overall education, robust wellness program, lower bills for our employees and lower claims for the company. This is certainly a win for us all and we’re honored to be in this partnership,” said Tonya Arrasmith, Human Resources Director at Atkins & Pearce.

Atkins & Pearce is a partner of the Center of Excellence (COE) bundled program at The Christ Hospital, offering total joint replacement benefits for their employees, but they wanted to expand their partnership. The Christ Hospital continues to pursue growth in many areas, including primary care. This was an opportunity to partner with an employer that was willing to make an investment in an onsite clinic for their employees and dependents.

“I am excited about this new partnership with Atkins & Pearce and I foresee increasing site-based clinics to meet the needs of employees and their families. The future of healthcare is continuing to evolve, and with the shortage of primary care physicians the Advanced Practice Providers, which encompass nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse midwives and clinical nurse specialists, are not only helping to bring high quality care to our patients but also increasing access to care. Our network strives to provide the best in quality care as we continue to grow as a health system in the community,” said Christine Chadwell, Director of Advanced Practice Providers at The Christ Hospital Health Network.

“The Christ Hospital is well known as the “Most Preferred” healthcare network in the region. It is ranked as #1 in the Cincinnati area by US News and World Report and is consistently ranked the highest in the area by the most important rating agencies, including the quality of nursing care and patient experience. This excellence of The Christ Hospital is driven by its exceptional physicians and clinicians and its commitment to patient care. We look forward to working with The Christ Hospital to improve health outcomes for our employees and their families,” said Jeb Head, President/Owner at Atkins & Pearce.

“We are proud to have been given the opportunity to partner with a first-class organization like Atkins and Pearce, a company with a long history and strong ties to the Northern Kentucky community. We are honored to provide our primary care and wellness related services to the employees of Atkins and Pearce and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship,” said Greg Cobb, Executive Director of Ambulatory Care at The Christ Hospital Health Network.
