Arturo Polizzi, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network, has shared that he plans to transition out of his Chief Executive role next month and return to ProMedica to be closer to his family.
“Arturo has been an asset to The Christ Hospital during his time here,” says Jeb Head, Chairman of The Christ Hospital Health Network Board. “His exemplary leadership has enabled the network to grow in its mission of serving the community with excellent care all while navigating a global pandemic. I am confident that the work he accomplished, and the strategic initiatives he set in motion, will carry The Christ Hospital forward into the future. We cannot thank him enough for his service and wish him well.”
During Arturo’s tenure, The Christ Hospital received a multitude of national awards for clinical excellence and patient experience. Among others, it was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the Cincinnati Region’s #1 hospital for the fifth and sixth consecutive years and was awarded Magnet recognition for demonstrating the highest quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovation in nursing for the third time.
Effective November 16, 2020 Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Debbie Hayes, will take on the role of interim CEO. “Debbie’s successful track record of 33 years at The Christ Hospital, beginning as a nurse and working her way up to her most recent leadership position as Chief Operating Officer, equips her well for these new responsibilities,” remarked Head. “Additionally, Debbie is recognized and highly respected in the community for her work with several nonprofits including United Way, ArtsWave, The American Heart Association and LifeCenter.”
