Cincinnati (July 13, 2015) – The Christ Hospital Physicians – Dermatology is pleased to welcome Jennifer Cafardi, MD. Dr. Cafardi is welcoming new patients starting July 13 at The Christ Hospital Medical Office Building located at 2123 Auburn Avenue, Suite 210 in Mt Auburn. She can be reached at 513-579-9191.
Dr. Cafardi is a board-certified dermatologist/Mohs surgeon who earned her B.S. in molecular biology from Grove City College in Grove City, PA, and her medical degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Brown Internal Medicine, Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI and her residency in dermatology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She completed her fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery/procedural dermatology training at TriHealth in Cincinnati, OH.
Dr. Cafardi is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Cincinnati Dermatologic Society. She also serves as the Medical Advisory Chair for a local nonprofit organization, “Melanoma Know More” that provides free skin cancer screenings to Cincinnati residents monthly and serves as a support group for melanoma survivors.
Named a “Top Doctor” by Cincinnati Magazine in 2014, Dr. Cafardi has authored numerous publications and the textbook “The Manual of Dermatology” and is currently working on a second edition. She has also been invited to present at dermatology conferences nationally and internationally. Her clinical interests include: skin cancer, transplant dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction, photodynamic therapy, psoriasis, acne, HIV dermatology and skin conditions in the immunocompromised.
In her free time, Dr. Cafardi enjoys spending time with her family, as well as running, cooking, quilting, crocheting and traveling.
