The Christ Hospital Physicians Welcomes Daniel J. Pelchovitz

Accepting New Patients Starting August 3

Cincinnati (August 3, 2015) - The Christ Hospital Physicians – Ohio Heart and Vascular is pleased to welcome electrophysiologist, Daniel J. Pelchovitz, MD.  Effective August 3, he is available for patient appointments in Fort Wright at The Christ Hospital Outpatient Center at 1955 Dixie Highway. To schedule an appointment, please call 513-206-1180.

Dr. Pelchovitz – who will also see patients at The Christ Hospital locations in Liberty Township and Mt. Auburn - earned a medical degree from University of Pennsylvania, completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Northwestern University.  He enjoys caring for patients of all ages and was drawn to the electrophysiology field due to the treatment opportunities available to eliminate many heart rhythm issues that have plagued people for their entire lives.

His areas of interest include arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, pacemakers and defibrillators and catheter ablation. During his studies, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, won the American Heart Association Laennec Young Clinician Award and was a finalist for American College of Cardiology Young Investigator Award.

Dr. Pelchovitz is a Cincinnati native and graduate of Sycamore High School. He feels very fortunate to return home and care for Tristate patients.  “My father was also a physician at the Christ Hospital.  I had always planned to return to practice in my hometown, but this intent became even stronger after I met my wife, Rachel, who is also from Cincinnati.  Now that we are parents, we can’t think of a better city to raise our daughter.  This city has the best sense of community and appreciation for family that I have experienced,” said Dr. Pelchovitz.

The Christ Hospital Outpatient Center in Fort Wright is part of The Christ Hospital’s commitment to taking care to where patients live. The Center offers primary care and specialist physician practices, as well as imaging and cardiovascular testing, orthopedics and sports medicine, foot and ankle clinic, urology, gynecology, urogynecology and pelvic floor medicine, diabetes and endocrinology, pre-surgery testing, lab services and wound healing.

As part of that commitment to Northern Kentucky, The Christ Hospital plans to redevelop the site of the former Drawbridge Inn in Fort Mitchell into a 75,000-square-foot medical center that will be part of a larger, mixed-use development. A groundbreaking date has not been announced.
