Inclement weather procedures for The Christ Hospital Vaccine Clinic
Here are some frequently asked questions to keep in mind should we face inclement weather over the coming weeks.
Q: If The Christ Hospital needs to cancel the clinic or operate on a delay due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, how will I be notified?
A: If the clinic is canceled or running on a delay, our primary avenue of communication will be through text or telephone notification with anyone scheduled that day. We’ll also share information through our website, Facebook page and local news.
Q: If my appointment is canceled, can it be rescheduled?
A: If we cancel your vaccine appointment, we will reach out to reschedule your appointment through the same channel you scheduled your original appointment (patient portal, phone, email). If we need to change the hours of the clinic due to weather and your time slot is affected, you can still come in that day during our revised hours.
Q: If the clinic remains open, but I’m unsure of traveling due to weather conditions, what are my options?
A: Your safety is our top priority. Please use caution or reconsider coming in if conditions aren’t safe for travel in your area. However, you will have the option of coming in before or after your scheduled time as long as you come during clinic hours. (Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. with a break for lunch from 11:30 - 12:10, and Saturdays, 8 a.m. - Noon, unless we need to operate on a delay.) If you can’t make it in before the clinic closes, please cancel your appointment through your patient portal or at the time you receive your text/telephone appointment reminder. You can then reschedule through one of our three scheduling options. Due to high demand, we can’t guarantee a new appointment for those who need to cancel at this time, but we expect to add new appointments to our schedule weekly (usually toward the end of each week) to accommodate as many people as possible.
