- identifying your "Hot Spots" and addressing your weak moments
- nicotine replacement therapy
- strategies for quitting
- setting a quit date
- stress management
- healthy eating and weight management
- use of exercise and physical activity to increase health.

Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP)
CHIP is an educationally intensive lifestyle intervention program designed to prevent, halt and reverse
heart disease, high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, obesity, heartburn, depression and elevated
cholesterol. Through this program, individuals will learn to make better choices when grocery shopping,
cooking, attending parties and dining out.
At the end of the nine weeks, individuals participating in The Christ Hospital CHIP programs have seen
triglyceride and glucose levels drop an average of 10 percent; total cholesterol levels drop an average
of 9 percent; diabetes and blood pressure medications are often reduced or sometimes eliminated and
better sleep and higher energy levels are commonly reported.

An eight-week class that will focus on rejuvenating the mind and body through meditation. Learn how your body reacts to stress and develop your own personal meditation plan to manage the stress in your life. Research shows that by using meditation regularly,
you can reduce blood pressure, heart disease risks and other health problems.
Scale to Success
Join a fun and energetic weight loss program based on making lifestyle changes for long-term success.
Group meeting topics include nutrition for weight loss and health, stress management and exercising for
results. Each Scale to Success program is customized to meet the needs and interests of the group.
Customize your program by choosing from the following components:
- food samples
- weekly or grand prizes
- pre and post-measurements of weight and/or body fat
- T-shirts and pedometers.
Program length can vary; however, we recommend a minimum of seven weeks. Program can also be
delivered via email, on site (recommended) or a combination of the two.
