You will receive two calls from us prior to your appointment:
A call from a representative of The Christ Hospital Health Network pre-registration department. The representative will ask for your insurance information and emergency contact information.
A call from our office to confirm your appointment date and time. This call may be placed by our automated service.
Planning Your Visit
Here are a few things you can do to help plan for your visit:
Call our office at least 24-hours prior to your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Call your insurance company prior to your appointment to ensure coverage.
Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
Please bring the following to your appointment:
List of medications (prescription, over-the-counter and herbal)
Any medical journals you may be keeping (imaging completed, glucose/sugar, weight loss, etc.)
Our offices include a counselor who can provide patients with financial assistance to keep your health care costs as low as possible. You can contact our financial counselor at 859-292-9121 during office hours, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Prescriptions and Refills
For new prescription refills, or if your pharmacy is calling to request refills, call our office at 513-321-4333 during normal office hours, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. During weekends and evenings, the doctors prefer to order prescriptions in emergency situations only.
Emergencies and After-Hour Calls
If you need to see your doctor for a medical emergency or other sudden illness during office hours, call 513-321-4333 and tell the receptionist your call is urgent. Your doctor will attempt to see you at your office, the Cancer Center or a hospital emergency room.
For medical emergencies during non-office hours, including weekends, call 513-321-4333. Our answering service will page the doctor on-call. At least one physician is available at all times to handle emergency situations. If your problem is serious and cannot wait for a return call, go to the emergency room or call 9-1-1.
