E-visits are now available to our primary care patients for certain non-urgent conditions and symptoms.
Simply log in to your MyChart account, answer questions about how you're feeling, and you'll receive a return message from your provider who will evaluate your symptoms, provide medical advice, and, if needed, send a prescription to your pharmacy! (E-visits are exchanges of secure messages between you and your health care provider. They are not "video visits.")
E-visits may be submitted through MyChart 24 hours a day/seven days a week. Your provider will respond the same or next business day.
Because the in-person interaction with your provider is important to your overall care, you must have been seen in person at least once within the last 2 years to submit an e-visit. You must also have an active MyChart account with The Christ Hospital and be 18 years or older, or for minors a parent or guardian must have obtained MyChart Proxy Access.

Many insurance plans are now covering e-visits. If your plan does not cover e-visits, you will be billed $35 for this service. This charge is often much less than the cost of copayments and time spent driving to and from the doctor's office. You will be asked to enter your credit card into a secure payment system prior to submission of your e-visit.
If, after review of your symptoms, your provider decides that it is in your best interest to be seen in person, you will not be charged for the e-visit and you will be asked to schedule a traditional appointment.
Simply log in to your MyChart account and select e-visit from the quick link menu (or the e-visit icon in the MyChart app). (If you don't see e-visits in the quick link menu, please call your provider's office for an appointment.)
