CINCINNATI (October 28, 2025) – The Christ Hospital Health Network’s pharmacy continues to use revolutionary technology to better care for patients across its system. For more than a year, The Christ Hospital has embedded InsightRX into its pharmacy program, improving workflow management, strengthening standardization of care, and freeing up pharmacists for additional clinical work.
For many hospitals, dosing antibiotics like vancomycin was once supported by basic, non-integrated tools that required manual calculations and offered limited clinical context. Vancomycin is a critical antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections, where getting the dose right is essential to both safety and effectiveness. As treatments have become more complex, The Christ Hospital’s pharmacy team saw an opportunity to modernize the process with a more precise, data-driven method that better supports individualized patient care.
InsightRX, a leader in model-informed precision dosing (MIPD) software, helps pharmacists determine the optimal medication dose for each patient by combining patient data such as age, weight, and kidney function with mathematical models that describe how drugs move through the body. The platform then provides a recommended dose and predicts how the patient will likely respond.
Pharmacists at The Christ Hospital now use InsightRX daily to review pharmacokinetics (via available lab results, patient data, and model-based predictions) before making dosing recommendations to the medical care team. This approach has significantly reduced time spent on vancomycin consults, improved dosing consistency, and helped ensure that patients receive the most effective and safest therapy possible.
“Having used InsightRX for more than a year now within The Christ Hospital Health Network, we have seen first-hand the increase in efficiency from our pharmacy team,” said Justin Gamble, Director of Pharmacy Services at The Christ Hospital Network. “With the success we’ve had using InsightRX, we hope to expand the use of this software to help in dosing for a number of additional pharmaceutical drugs.”
The implementation has also made training within the pharmacy team more streamlined. With standardized workflows and automated calculations, onboarding new pharmacists has become faster and easier, enhancing both quality of care and the learning environment.
Looking ahead, The Christ Hospital is exploring ways to extend precision dosing to other drug classes and therapeutic areas. InsightRX could also be incorporated into clinical trials to help identify optimal dosing strategies that maximize efficacy, reduce adverse drug events, and improve trial success.
“We’re proud to see The Christ Hospital Health Network leading the way in advancing precision dosing,” said Sirj Goswami, PhD, CEO and Co-Founder of InsightRX. “Their success illustrates how model-informed precision dosing can enhance patient safety today while laying the foundation for broader applications across therapeutic areas. As health systems continue to adopt these data-driven approaches, pharmacists are gaining powerful tools to improve consistency, reduce variability and deliver individualized care at scale.”
