Veronica Crump, MSN, APN-BC is a board-certified advanced practice nurse with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Surgical Oncology who specializes in care for breast cancer patients. She brings more than two decades of experience as a nurse practitioner across multiple cancer-related specialties. She provides outpatient care at the Mt. Auburn and Liberty Township locations.
Veronica’s inspiration to pursue a career in medicine is simply knowing how it feels to have an illness and wanting to help others who may have a more serious condition feel better. “Illness not only affects you physically and emotionally, but your family, as well,” she says. She began her journey as a volunteer emergency medical technician, where the rewarding feeling of helping others motivated her in her further pursuits, culminating in achieving her goal as an advanced practice provider.
She approaches care with compassion, respect, and a commitment to listening to each patient, as she would expect if she were in their place. She also strives to see to each patient’s emotional wellbeing and providing the support and education they need to achieve their best possible health. She advocates for her patients to approach their care with strong faith and a positive outlook and encourages them to laugh often.
Veronica earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Montclair State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Paterson University.
