Jennifer Clark, CNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Palliative Care who provides inpatient care at The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn.
After more than 25 years of caring for patients, Jennifer still has the same passion for helping others that sparked her to pursue her career after volunteering at a local hospital as a teenager. “I knew then that I wanted to be a nurse,” she says. “I have always loved being able to help others. One of the best parts about working in healthcare is helping people know that they are an individual and that I am there to fight for them and help them to the best of my abilities, that they are not alone.”
Jennifer applies her passion for helping people one individual at a time by always putting her patients at the center of their care. She advocates for a team approach that encompasses the individual patient, their family, and the care team working together to achieve the best possible outcome and patient experience. This approach requires care providers to actively listen to their patients and she encourages her patients to be engaged in their care and to always ask questions to ensure they are fully informed.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Science in Nursing as a nurse practitioner from Wright State University. She is certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the American Nurses Association.
When not providing care, Jennifer values time spent with family and friends, especially her husband and their children. She also enjoys reading and quilting.
