Rebecca Short, MD is a board-certified physician specializing in dermatology with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Dermatology. She has more than 20 years of experience in her specialty in hospital-based multi-specialty groups, private practice, and as an officer in the United States Air Force. She provides care for patients at the Red Bank location.
Dr. Short takes a patient-focused, preventative approach to providing care – considering each patient’s unique lifestyle, circumstances, and health goals when deciding together on a plan of care that works best for them. She enjoys all aspects of medical dermatology but has a special interest in the early detection of diseases such as skin cancers. In fact, she considers individual instances of diagnosing issues before they became more serious as the proudest moments of her career.
The Northern Kentucky native is a proud alumnus of Notre Dame Academy and Thomas More College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Dr. Short earned her Medical Degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed an internship at the Malcolm Grove Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base, and a dermatology residency at Stanford University Medical Center.
Dr. Short is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, where she is also a diplomat. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology Association, a lifetime member of the Association of Military Dermatologists and a member of the American Medical Association and the Ohio State Medical Association. She is the current Treasurer of the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati.
In her free time, Dr. Short enjoys watching F1 races with her daughter and husband, listening to her daughter singing, hot Pilates, swimming with her 116-pound dog, Zeus, and spending time with her family.
