Aleena Slone, MD is a board-certified physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Primary Care who specializes in family medicine. She provides care for patients of all ages at the Mason location.
Dr. Slone was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by a strong desire to help and uplift others, that she developed while growing up in Appalachia in Eastern Kentucky. “I witnessed the toll that the lack of healthcare took on that wonderful community, and I knew what direction I wanted to go,” she says.
Her approach to care is founded on having empathy for each patient and a goal to work with them to improve their quality of life and help them live each day to its fullest. She encourages her patients to have a voice when determining their care. “Never be afraid to ask your doctor questions and to always advocate for yourself,” she says.
Dr. Slone earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Japanese Language from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Davenport University, and a Doctorate of Medicine from the Saba University School of Medicine. She received the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Teaching Award in 2014. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
In addition to her medical career, Dr. Slone has extensive experience as a commission artist. In her free time, she enjoys painting, drawing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, martial arts, video games, and playing the violin and ocarina.
