Brandon Wilkins, DO, is a physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Primary Care who specializes in internal medicine. He provides care to patients ages 18 and older at the Green Township location.
Dr. Wilkins suffered from severe asthma when he was growing up, which led him to be hospitalized often. The care he received when he was young inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. “If it was not for the care of my doctors, I don't think I would be here today,” he says. “I would like to be there for my patients in the same way my doctors were there for me.”
He takes a team-based approach to providing care and he values each patient’s input and honest communication when working with them to develop a plan of care that fits their unique needs. “I like to listen to my patients and come up with a plan with their assistance that will work best for them,” he says.
Dr. Wilkins is an alumnus of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Miami University and his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received the Student Organization Community Impact Award for his involvement in promoting Humanism and Compassion in Medicine as a member of the OU chapter of the Student National Medical Association.
When not providing care, Dr. Wilkins likes to spend time with his girlfriend, family, and friends. He enjoys trying new local restaurants, traveling, and exploring different cultures.
