Eric Jiang, MD is an orthopedic surgeon with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine who specializes in hand surgery. He provides outpatient care at the Liberty Township location and inpatient care at the main campus.
Dr. Jiang chose to pursue a career as a hand surgeon to help people get back to doing the things they value in life. He recognizes that each patient is an individual with unique needs and goals, and he collaborates with them to develop a personalized plan of care that is right for them, taking into consideration all treatment options both nonsurgical, and surgical.
“There are many available surgical techniques for treating problems, but many times things can improve without surgery,” he says. “It’s important as a patient to know you can trust your physician to help guide you, while also considering your personal preferences.”
Dr. Jiang’s care philosophy is rooted in treating every patient as if they are a member of his own family.
He earned his Medical Degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Henry Ford Health in Detroit and a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at Washington University in St. Louis. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Jiang is a native of Ohio and is excited to return to his home state after training in other states. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and golf, and running.
