Lauren Koza, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, specializing in Interventional Pain Management. She provides outpatient care at The Christ Hospital Joint & Spine Center in Mt. Auburn as well as Montgomery.
Lauren’s decision to pursue a career in medicine was influenced by her mother, a nurse at The Christ Hospital, whose compassionate care inspired her. She also values lifelong learning and the continual advancement of medical knowledge. “In medicine, there’s always more to discover and understand in order to better serve our patients,” she says.
Her philosophy of care centers on listening first and advocating for each patient’s unique needs. Lauren combines her clinical expertise with empathy and compassion, encouraging her patients to seek care when needed in order to improve their quality of life.
Lauren holds two Bachelor degrees from the University of Dayton - a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. She continued her education at the University of Dayton where she completed her Master of Physician Assistant Practice. She is certified by the National Board on Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Outside of her professional life, Lauren enjoys taking walks with her husband, their son, and their energetic golden retriever. She also loves exploring new coffee shops. A former collegiate basketball player at the University of Dayton, she continues to have a strong passion for the game.
