Dr. Engel is a nationally-recognized clinical researcher and the Medical Director for the Heart & Vascular Center's Pulmonary Hypertension Program at The Christ Hospital. Before settling into private practice in Cincinnati, Dr. Engel worked as a consultant in cardiology to the Aeromedical Consultant Service at the US Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks AFB in Texas where he served as Director of both the Noninvasive and Cardiac Catherization Laboratories. At the University of Cincinnati, he served as Director of the Echocardiography Lab and the Cardiac Catherization Lab.

Dr. Engel is the best doctor. He always takes time to answer any questions I have and explains in a way I can understand. He makes me feel like he puts my health on top of his priority list. I drive 2 hours each way to see him and have seen him for over 20 years!

The Christ Hospital's entire medical care is fantastic. I arrived after a cancer diagnosis, followed by strokes related to high blood pressure [...] that had damaged my heart which Dr. Engel's care has substantially improved. I would be dead without The Christ Hospital care.
