Ronald J. Hsieh, MD, James C. Pritchard, MD, and Mary Metger, CNP, Accepting New Patients in Kenwood

Cincinnati (March 18, 2015) – The Christ Hospital Physicians is pleased to announce the opening of a new primary care office in Kenwood. Ronald J. Hsieh, MD, James C. Pritchard, MD, and Mary Metger, CNP will be accepting new patients starting March 23. Their office is located at 8041 Hosbrook, Suite 200, in Kenwood. They can be reached at 513-891-3664.

Ronald J. Hsieh, MD, earned his medical degree from the College of Human Medicine, Michigan State University, where he also earned a BS in Biochemistry. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the New England Deaconess Hospital, Harvard Medical School and completed his fellowship at the Joslin Diabetes Center - Harvard Medical School.

Affiliated with The Christ Hospital for more than 30 years, Dr. Hsieh also served as the Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and as a Principal Investigator with Sentral Clinical Research.

He is a member Ohio Medical Association, Cincinnati Academy of Medicine and the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Diabetes Association where he also serves as president. Dr. Hsieh specializes in adult internal medicine and diabetes. His areas of interest include adult medicine, cholesterol and diabetes management, hypertension, and preventative and wellness care.

James C. Pritchard, M.D. has over 30 years of medical experience and specializes in the prevention and treatment of adult patients presenting with a wide range of medical issues including coronary artery disease, diabetes, hypertension and cancer.  He also diagnoses and treats acute primary care illnesses such as influenza, injuries, allergies and asthma. 

He is a graduate of University of Dayton with a BS in Biology and minors in chemistry and psychology.  He attended University of Cincinnati School of Medicine.  He subsequently completed his residency at The Christ Hospital and served as Chief resident and assistant program director.

Dr. Pritchard has spent his career in private practice but has served in several leadership positions including various hospital committees for peer review and medical executive committees at two hospitals. Most recently he served four years as inpatient medical director at another regional hospital before returning to The Christ Hospital to continue his practice. He has also been voted Top Doctors in Cincinnati for internal medicine three times in Cincinnati Magazine.

Research is one of his interests having been primary and sub-investigator on various studies involving cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes, osteoarthritis and obesity. He has also participated in charitable fundraising for Colon Cancer and American Diabetes Association. Dr. Pritchard is married with 2 teenage daughters and spends his free time playing music, going to soccer games, concerts and dressage competitions. 

The practice staff and organization has raised over $200,000 in donations in the last 20 years.
