Cancer Rehabilitation Programs
Cancer treatment produces uncomfortable side effects. We offer complete, supportive rehabilitation services to help manage your symptoms and rebuild your strength and energy. Based on your unique needs, your rehabilitation plan may include:
Cancer-Related Fatigue Therapy
Fatigue is the top cancer-related symptom. It doesn’t get better with rest, and it isn’t linked to how active you are. Our licensed physical therapists can evaluate you and create a customized rehabilitation plan that boosts your stamina.
To improve your strength and cardiovascular function, we may recommend:
- Aerobics
- Balance activities
- Home exercise
- Strength training
Lymphedema Therapy
Cancer treatment frequently causes lymphedema (swelling). Fluid collects in the skin and tissues around the part of your body where you receive treatment. It may or may not cause pain and stiffness.
Our certified lymphedema therapists can teach you specific drainage techniques to help flush extra fluid from your body. These strategies include:
- Compression garments
- Direct lymphatic drainage (gentle manual movement)
- Exercise
