Manage Multiple Accounts with Single Login

Having multiple MyChart accounts can be challenging, especially when juggling different usernames and passwords. Easily manage and navigate your network of linked organizations and healthcare providers with MyChart Central.

When you create a MyChart Central account, you also create an Epic ID — a single login that works across all your MyChart accounts.

Get Started with MyChart

Here’s how you get started with the MyChart version that you choose to use.

Getting Started with the Mobile App

Download the app in the Apple Store or on Google Play.
Log in. If you need a username and password, tap Sign up and follow the steps. If you already have a username, use it and your password to log in.
Set up a two-step verification code to protect your privacy. For each log in, you will receive a verification code.

Getting Started with the Desktop Version

Go to sign up for MyChart.
Create your account by using the activation code you were given by your doctor's office. Or if you don’t have a code, call your doctor’s office to get one.
Note: Once you create your MyChart account, you will no longer need the code.
After signing up, log in to MyChart. Note: If you forget your username or password, use the links on the login screen.

Does logging in to MyChart require two-step authentication?

Yes, two-step authentication is required to protect your privacy when logging in to MyChart.

You can use email, text message, or a third-party authentication app to get the code for two-step verification.

The following info is important to know about two-step authentication:

Be sure to always keep your preferred email and cell phone number up to date in your account settings.
Two-step authentication can’t be disabled.
If you don’t receive a code when using email, check your spam or junk mail folder.
You can set a device as trusted when you log in using two-step authentication. Then, on that device, you’ll be asked for a code only once in a while. Logins on a new device will require two-step authentication.
Family members and caregivers who access MyChart on behalf of a patient can establish proxy access using their own login credentials. Learn about proxy access in another FAQ.
You can click to request a resend of a code if you don’t receive one via text or email. If that does not work, call our support line at 513-522-4278 (52-CHART).

How do I set up face ID, touch ID, biometrics, or a passcode for MyChart?

If you’d like to use face ID, touch ID, biometrics (Android), or a passcode to log in to MyChart on your mobile device, you need to set that up in your MyChart account settings.

On your device, log in to MyChart.
Tap on the circle icon which has the first letter of your first name.
In the upper right corner, tap the menu button and then tap Account Settings.
Tap the toggle to enable face ID, touch ID, biometrics (Android), or a passcode.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Can I see clinical notes from my provider?

To ensure transparency, you can see clinical notes that your provider and healthcare team, including nurses and medical assistants, document about your care. Examples of notes include: progress notes, history and physicals, discharge summaries, procedure notes, and consult notes.

You can find the notes under Visits. We encourage you to review your notes and discuss any questions you have with your provider.

What test results can I see and how soon are they posted?

Test results (both normal and abnormal) are available as soon as they're complete. That means you may see test results before your provider has had a chance to review them.

Please keep the following information in mind before looking at your test results:

Results labeled Negative or Unremarkable are the same as Normal.
Results can be H for high or L for low, indicating they are outside of normal range. Very often, those results are not a reason to worry.
We will contact patients with serious findings as quickly as we can, but we cannot guarantee any specific timeframe, as we are sometimes caring for patients in the office or surgical suites when test results come through.
Because of possible worrisome findings, some patients may elect to wait a day or two for their provider to contact them (online message, phone call, mailed letter), before looking at their results.
We will aim to discuss possible results at the time of ordering the test, so you know what to expect.
Some patients and providers will arrange a follow-up visit (video or in-person visit) to discuss the results.
If you have an immediate concern after reviewing your test results, you can message or call your provider's office. Otherwise, we prefer that you wait one to two days for us to contact you to discuss your results. Or we may discuss them at your next appointment.

How do I share my health record with my family or view their health record, also known as proxy access?

Proxy access allows a family member, caregiver, or guardian to log in to their MyChart account and connect, with consent, to a family member’s information. Parents and guardians of minors will need to complete a Proxy Consent Form and return it to one of our medical facilities to request access to this convenient service.

To get proxy access to an individual in MyChart:

Log in to MyChart on mobile or desktop.
From the menu, select Sharing Hub.
Select the button for Family Member, Close Friend, or Caretaker.
Select Manage Ongoing Access to your MyChart Account.
Select Invite Friends or Family.
Enter accurate information for the individual whose health records you want to see.
Note: Your invitation status will show as pending until the individual accepts the invitation.

The individual will receive an email with instructions to Accept the Proxy invite.

Proxy access requires two-step verification for the representative accessing your records, so it is important that they maintain accurate contact information.

You can revoke proxy access at any time from the Sharing Hub in MyChart.

How do I pre-register for my baby’s delivery at a Christ Hospital birthing center?

To make your baby’s delivery as smooth as possible, you can pre-register for labor and delivery through MyChart in about five minutes, ideally around your third month.

To pre-register for your baby’s delivery, have your insurance card handy and follow these steps:

Log in to MyChart.
Select Visits, and then from the menu select Register for My Delivery.
Follow the prompts to select your estimated delivery date and hospital (Mt. Auburn or Liberty).
Verify your information.
Complete your insurance information.

How are my privacy and personal information protected?

MyChart is fully compliant with federal and state laws pertaining to your privacy. Your name and email address will be treated with the same care and privacy given your health records and will never be sold or leased.

We take great care to ensure your health information is kept private and secure. Access to information is controlled through secure access codes, personal IDs, and passwords. Each person controls their password and, without it, their account cannot be accessed

The MyChart app uses the latest 128-bit SSL encryption technology with no caching, automatically encrypting each session. Unlike conventional email, all messaging is done while you are securely logged in.

The Christ Hospital has been working to provide you with convenient access to care and services through enhanced technology solutions such as telehealth and MyChart. While clinical care outside of the traditional setting allows for additional physical safety and convenience, it also introduces data security and privacy risks that malicious groups aim to take advantage of.

To address data security and privacy risks, we’re constantly vetting our implementation of technology to ensure that your data is protected. You also play a critical role in data protection when communicating with us through technology.

The following info provides tips for using our services safely and securely:

Configure your computers, mobile devices, and applications with strong passwords or biometric locks.
Never share your passwords with others.
Install a reputable antivirus product on your computer and make sure all software is up to date.
Encrypt devices and other media that contain sensitive information.
Try to avoid connecting to the public internet while working with sensitive web-based services.
Secure your home network.

You can do a video visit from almost anywhere, but make sure you are in a place with sufficient privacy, such as behind a closed door, so you have control over who can hear the conversation.

Maintain a healthy skepticism of unsolicited emails, text messages, or phone calls, and always validate legitimacy before providing information.

Can I use MyChart with Apple Health or CommonHealth?

The data in your MyChart account also can be accessed via third-party applications, including Apple Health and Android’s CommonHealth, which are free and secure.

Information such as allergies, vital signs, medications, lab results, conditions, procedures, and more can be pulled by the apps from MyChart.

By letting you gather your health information in one place, you’re better able to monitor chronic conditions, adhere to treatment plans, and track progress in wellness or disease management.

If you decide to integrate your data with a third-party application, you'll need to have a MyChart username and password set up.

To integrate your MyChart data with the Apple Health app:

Download the Apple Health app on your Apple device.
Sign up for an account.
Log in to Apple Health and go to the Health Records section.
Select Get Started.
In the list of networks, find and select The Christ Hospital.
Follow the prompt to log in to your MyChart account.
Note: All of MyChart’s health data will be visible to you. The data is encrypted and protected on your iPhone.

If you have records at other hospitals, labs, or providers, simply repeat the steps and all your health records will be compiled into the Apple Health app.

To integrate your MyChart data with the Android CommonHealth app:

Download the CommonHealth app on your Android device.
Sign up for an account.
Log in to Common Health.
Select Add Data Source.
In the list of data sources, search for The Christ Hospital.
Follow the prompt to log in to your MyChart account.
Note: All of MyChart’s health data will be visible to you. The data is encrypted and protected on your Android phone.

If you have records at other hospitals, labs or providers, simply repeat the steps and all your health records will be compiled into the CommonHealth app.

Can I use MyChart during my hospital stay?

MyChart Bedside is a mobile or tablet-based app developed for our hospitalized patients and their families to access information about their hospital stay. To access the app, you can bring your own tablet or mobile phone, or use one of our tablets.

With MyChart Bedside you can:

Access your test results – view your test and lab results and prepare questions for your care team.
Document personal notes or video reminders, and see your physician's notes.
Request non-urgent items like a blanket or more water.
View your schedule for the day, including appointments with other departments like imaging or therapy.
View photos of staff assigned to your care team.
View food and beverage selections on the dietary menu.
Read assigned educational topics and watch short educational videos.
Send messages to clinical staff about your care, which they can respond to.
Access Netflix if you're feeling well enough, and catch up on your favorite series!
