Hearing loss can happen at any age. Fortunately, we can test hearing at any age, too. Our audiologists have the tools to perform routine hearing evaluations for patients as young as 8 months. Complete hearing care also includes hearing aid assessments, treatment recommendations and customized fittings.

Our nationally certified and licensed audiologists take a team-based approach to protecting your hearing. We work closely with our otolaryngologists (ear, nose and throat doctors) <link to ENT page>to identify the cause of your hearing loss and choose the customized treatment that’s right for you. You can count on us to deliver the advanced, compassionate care you need.

Screening for Hearing Loss

We tailor each screening test based on the patient’s age. For adults, a hearing evaluation includes:

• Basic audiometry (pressing a button every time you hear a beep) 

• Tympanometry (a pressure test that identifies fluid or congestion behind your eardrum) 

• Word recognition (repeating back words you hear) 

 Based on the results of your hearing evaluation, we work with you to identify the most appropriate treatment. 

Hearing Loss Interventions 

If your otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat doctor) suspects you have hearing loss, they may refer you to one of our audiologists. After identifying the cause of your hearing loss, your audiologist will work with you to choose the hearing loss intervention that best fits your unique needs.
