Signs & Symptoms
Symptoms of elbow tendonitis and bursitis include:
- Elbow pain
- Redness around the elbow
- Stiffness
- Swelling of the elbow joint
- Tenderness
Diagnosis
In addition to a physical exam, we may use one or more of the following tests to diagnose elbow tendonitis or bursitis:
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)—to create detailed images of the elbow joint.
- Lab tests—to check for inflammation or infection.
- Ultrasound—to view soft tissues in the elbow.
- X-rays—to get images that help diagnose your condition.
