Adult Cardiology Fellowship

We are a three-year, ACGME-accredited program with a focus on teaching as our mission, and our curriculum as a foundation to give you broad clinical exposure to acute and chronic cardiovascular care, as well as extensive experience in non-invasive and invasive cardiac procedures.  

As a fellow, you will develop fundamental skills and the ability to serve patients with compassion and respect. We foster a friendly and supportive environment. You will be paired with a mentor from our faculty, who provides guidance and support throughout your training. We give you resources to maintain your physical and mental well-being, including a wellness program and on-site gym. Social events offer opportunities for faculty members and fellows to connect on a more personal level.  

Our world-class faculty of cardiovascular specialists provides comprehensive training in all cardiovascular subspecialties, including: 

• Cardiovascular imaging 
• Cardiac catheterization 
• Structural heart disease 
• Adult congenital heart disease 
• Electrophysiology 
• Interventional cardiology 
• Critical care 
• Women’s heart disease 
• Preventative heart disease 
• Pulmonary hypertension 
• Advanced heart-failure (including LVAD and heart transplant)  

You will have first-year access to clinical research opportunities and access to a simulation lab for Echo, TEE and Cardiac Catheterization.

We are based at our hospital in Mt. Auburn, just three miles from the heart of downtown Cincinnati. Our home offers an extensive parks system, lively arts community, family-friendly attractions including the renowned Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, major league sports teams, trendy restaurants and microbreweries, and much more. With its strong economy, varied housing options and diverse population, Cincinnati is a great place to train, make friends and grow professionally.

Eligibility & Applications

We welcome interest from physicians who are committed to a career in cardiovascular medicine and prepared to immerse themselves in a dynamic, multifaceted training program. Additionally, we require applicants to have the following: 

• MD or DO 
• Completion of a three-year ACGME-accredited residency program by time of entry into fellowship 

Applications to the Program 

Applications can be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). 

The ERAS Common Application Form should include: 

• A complete CV 
• Personal statement 
• USMLE board score reports 
• Two letters of recommendation and one letter from a cardiology specialist the applicant has worked with 
• Recent color photograph  

Application deadline is usually mid-August with interviews being held virtually during September. Four fellows will be selected for the program that begins in July.
