All babies born in our Mt. Auburn and Liberty Birthing Centers on Thursday, August 3rd, (Fritz’s Birthday) will receive a limited edition ‘One in a Melon’ onesie to wear with Fritz on the front, free tickets to the zoo and a copy of the newest book in the popular Fiona series You’ve Got This, Fiona: A Book About Change, from New York Times bestselling illustrator, Richard Cowdrey.
“Fritz puts a smile on every visitor’s face,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard. “We hope that the onesies with his face on them will have the same effect.”
Cowdrey spent time Wednesday at both the Mt. Auburn and Liberty Birthing Centers signing books and reading to children born at The Christ Hospital Health Network.
More than 500,000 copies of Fiona the Hippo books have sold since 2018. This latest book in the series features Fiona while she learns about the changing seasons of the year and how, even when things change around you, like a new baby brother in Fritz, true friendship, family and love stay the same. Cowdrey grew up going to the Zoo while living in Cincinnati. Cowdrey graduated from The Columbus College of Art and Design and still lives in Ohio.
