The Christ Hospital Named #1 Hospital in Cincinnati Region by U.S. News and World Report for Sixth Consecutive Year

For the sixth consecutive year, The Christ Hospital has been named the #1 hospital in the Cincinnati region by U.S. News & World Report.

For the sixth consecutive year, The Christ Hospital has been named the #1 hospital in the Cincinnati region by U.S. News & World Report. The hospital also ranked number six in the state of Ohio. The U.S. News rankings named The Christ Hospital as ‘high-performing” in five areas, in recognition of care that was significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes.

The five high-performing areas are:

• Gastroenterology & GI Surgery • Geriatrics • Nephrology • Orthopedics • Pulmonology & Lung Surgery • Diabetes & Endocrinology (ranked 47th in the nation)

The Christ Hospital was also rated as “High Performing” for the following procedures/conditions:

• Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair • Aortic valve surgery • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) • Colon cancer surgery • Heart bypass surgery • Heart failure • Hip replacement • Knee replacement • Lung cancer surgery • Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)

For the 2020-21 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 16 specialties, 10 procedures and conditions. In the 16 specialty areas, 134 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. In rankings by state and metro area, U.S. News recognized best regional hospitals based on high performing rankings across multiple areas of care.
