The Christ Hospital Health Network is pleased to announce a new service designed to enhance natural beauty and reduce signs of aging.

The Christ Hospital Health Network is pleased to announce a new service designed to enhance natural beauty and reduce signs of aging. The Medical Spa at The Christ Hospital is staffed by highly trained medical experts and provides a range of products and services such as laser treatments, injectables and medical-grade skincare.

“There are so many cosmetic treatments and products available. Our approach is to stay focused on delivering value to our clients through effective options with lasting results,” says Gina Maccarone, MD, Medical Director of The Medical Spa at The Christ Hospital.

Dr. Maccarone is a general surgeon with a special interest in aesthetics, which provides a unique level of skilled experience in the latest treatments and has given her a deeper understanding of anatomy and how it relates to outer appearance.

“There is a science behind beauty, skincare and overall wellness. I love educating my clients on the best options based on their specific needs. If treated properly, using the right combination of topical or injectable treatments can significantly reduce the aging process and eliminate the need for more invasive and expensive options down the road.”

The Medical Spa at The Christ Hospital is conveniently located at both the Mt. Auburn main hospital campus (2139 Auburn Ave., Suite 624, Cincinnati, OH), and The Christ Hospital Outpatient Center – Liberty Township (7335 Yankee Rd., Suite 203 Liberty Township, OH). The initial visit to The Medical Spa begins with a consultation to discuss a patient’s concerns and determine a personalized treatment plan to achieve the desired results. From there, several treatment options, requiring no downtown, are available, including:

• Laser treatments designed to stimulate the skin’s natural processes to reverse many signs of aging skin, fine lines and enlarged pores, as well as reduce the appearance of sun damage, rosacea, facial and leg veins, age/brown spots and acne scars.

• Injectables such as Botox, Juvederm and Kybella to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, add volume to cheeks and lips, smooth facial lines and reduce excess fat beneath the chin without surgery.

• Dermaplaning treatment to exfoliate and rid the face of fine hair for a fresher, cleaner and brighter glow while also allowing skincare products to be more effective and makeup to appear smoother and more flawless.

• A variety of skin care products and cosmetics, which have been thoroughly tested by Christ Hospital medical experts, to alleviate the cost of “trial and error” and provide the most impactful results.

The Medical Spa at The Christ Hospital is currently implementing advanced measures to keep patients and staff safe during the pandemic.

“Because we are a division of The Christ Hospital, our precautions are those required of any medical office regarding COVID-19,” explains Dr. Maccarone. “Face masks are mandatory for staff and patients at all times, unless receiving a treatment. Staff are also required to wear face shields for their own protection. Our common areas and treatment rooms are disinfected and cleaned between patients and scheduled hourly.”
