CINCINNATI (November 4, 2022) – The Christ Hospital has been named to Newsweek’s World’s Best Specialty Hospitals 2023 list for cardiology. This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The complete list can be viewed on Newsweek’s website.

“We are honored to be included on Newsweek’s World’s Best Specialty Hospitals 2023 list,” said Dean Kereiakes, MD, FACC, MSCAI, President of The Heart & Vascular Institute. “This distinction comes on the heels of our new heart transplant program, which expands leading-edge care for our community. It’s further proof that The Christ Hospital Health Network has everything it takes to serve as a national destination for heart and vascular care.”

“As our heart and vascular team continues to expand, this distinction reiterates our mission of delivering quality care to every patient,” said Debbie Hayes, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network. “We are committed to growing the scope and breath of all of our cardiovascular services and the clinical experts that practice here, including expanding our innovative clinical research trials through the work of our multidisciplinary care teams.”

The World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2023 ranking identifies the best hospitals that specialize in Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery, Pulmonology and Urology.

Newsweek and Statista invited more than 40,000 medical experts—including doctors, hospital managers, and health care professionals—to participate in online surveys that allowed them to recommend and assess various hospitals within their respective specializations. The results of the survey were then validated by a global board of renowned medical experts.
