E-Visits
E-visits are available for primary care, gynecology, and dermatology patients for certain non-urgent conditions and symptoms. Visits are conducted through secure messages to and from your provider using MyChart.
Starting an E-visit
Log into MyChart and select E-visits from the menu. (If you don't see E-visits in the menu, please call your provider's office for an appointment.)
You will answer questions about your symptoms or healthcare needs, and you'll receive a return message from your provider who will evaluate your symptoms, provide medical advice, and, if needed, send a prescription to your pharmacy.
You can start an E-visit at any time, but our providers only answer them during business hours when not seeing in-office patients. Please allow up to two business days. If you need more immediate care for non-urgent needs, you can call your office to check availability or visit one of our Urgent Care locations.
Cost
Many insurance plans are now covering E-visits. If, after review of your symptoms, your provider decides that it is in your best interest to be seen in person, you will not be charged for the E-visit and you will be asked to schedule a traditional appointment.
E-visit Eligibility
In-person interaction is important to your overall care, so E-visits are only available if you have been seen in person at least once within the last two years. You must also have an active MyChart account with us and be 18 years or older, or for minors, a parent or guardian must have obtained MyChart Proxy Access.
