Dr. Christopher Paprzycki (pap-SIS-key) grew up in southeast Cleveland and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toledo, graduating summa cum laude in Bioengineering in 2008.
During engineering co-ops as part of his undergraduate curriculum, he gained experience in quality control engineering at Boston Scientific, as well as participated in several research trials, testing novel drug compounds at Pfizer Global Research and Development within the Department of Molecular Pharmacology.
After graduation, Dr Paprzycki decided to follow his passion for medicine by continuing his education at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, where he graduated with his Doctorate of Medicine in 2012. During medical school, Dr Paprzycki met and fell in love with his talented wife Amy during the same clinical rotation in vascular surgery at St Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.
Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Paprzycki completed his integrated vascular surgery residency training in Cincinnati under the leadership of Dr Patrick Muck.
He joined The Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute in 2017 and is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in vascular surgery. Since his arrival, Dr. Paprzycki has helped develop both the Critical Limb Ischemia Program and the Comprehensive Vein Program. He has been active in multiple clinical research trials and has taken an interest in the minimally invasive treatment of both arterial and venous diseases.
Dr Paprzycki is passionate about education within the field of vascular surgery, and holds an active role in the clinical teaching of students, residents, and fellows from both the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and TriHealth Medical Center. He also quite active within organized medicine, holding leadership positions at the Academy of Medicine in Cincinnati and the Ohio State Medical Association.
Dr. Paprzycki married his wife in 2016, and they have two sons and a labradoodle. Amy is a local, board-certified podiatrist at Cincinnati Foot and Ankle Care. In his free time, Dr. Paprzycki is an avid Cleveland sports fan (Go Browns!) and enjoys Peloton, golf, reading, and spending time with friends. His favorite hobby is collecting sports trading cards.
