Dr. Hasan is a third-generation cardiothoracic surgeon. His grandfather was a pioneer in thoracic surgery in the Indian subcontinent. His father, who also trained at Cleveland Clinic, founded the premier cardiothoracic surgical program in Pakistan. Naturally, he gravitated towards this specialty in medical school. He was immediately enthralled by the dramatic impact cardiac surgeons have on their patients’ lives, as well as the dynamism and intricacy of the art and science of cardiovascular surgery.
