Jessica Kendall, ACNP, is a certified acute care nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Heart & Vascular with extensive experience in providing cardiac critical care. She currently provides inpatient care at The Christ Hospital’s Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in Mt. Auburn.
She was inspired as a child to pursue a career in medicine by the kindness and generosity of a medical staff member who cared for her father when he was critically injured following an automobile accident. While her father unfortunately passed away due to his injuries, the compassion and comfort she received stuck with her and have driven her desire to be there for others in her situation.
Jessica approaches care with a patient-first philosophy. “This means promoting an atmosphere of open communication where their unique beliefs and values are considered and respected throughout their care,” she says. She reminds her patients of the importance of understanding every aspect of their care plan and that they should always be willing to ask questions if something is unclear.
She holds an Associate Degree in Nursing from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Northern Kentucky University. She is certified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
When not providing care, Jessica values quality time with her family. They enjoy traveling, going out to dinner, or simply staying in for a relaxing movie night.
