Dr. Bullard received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. He completed additional training at Northwestern University in Engineering before deciding to go to medical school. His medical school was the University of Cincinnati where he completed training in 1976. He completed his internship, residency and chief residency at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He joined with another internist, Dr. Carl Vilter, in private practice following graduation.
Dr. Bullard is interested in cardiac and pulmonary problems, their effects and the treatments to improve the quality of his patient’s lives. Also, he involved with the management of diabetes as it impacts his patients.
He was born in California and lived in various cities while growing up while his father served for the military. Dr. Bullard’s engineering background lead him to an interest in medicine. He believed that the processes that he learned as an engineer would help him to deliver better care to his patients and has kept that vision throughout his medical career. He designed, produced, and uses software to help care for his patients and he believes that this has allowed him to provide the best possible care for his patients.
Dr. Bullard’s wife is Paula, who works with him every day as his office manager, where she does a remarkable job of supervising a busy office. Together, they love to spend time in the garden and cook in the kitchen. They have nine children and many grandchildren – they are always on his mind. Dr. Bullard loves to read, cook, watch old movies, and work on the house.
