Dr. Li completed his bachelor's and medical studies in an accelerated six-year program at Kent State University and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. At the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, he did an internship in general surgery. He then went on to do his residency in anesthesiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

After a year as associate staff at New England Medical Center/Tufts Medical School, Dr. Li joined AAC in 1993. Dr. li has worked on several joint research projects with the cardiovascular surgery department. He also serves as Treasurer to the board of directors of AAC.

Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Li is a member of the Ohio State Medical Associates, and the American, Ohio and Greater Cincinnati Societies of Anesthesiologists.
