Dr. Schroder completed his residency at The Christ Hospital in 1990 and served as Chief Resident in 1991-1992. He became Associate Program Director for the program from 1991-1996 and then was named Chair of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at The Christ Hospital in 1998.

Dr. Schroder also holds a master's degree in Healthcare Administration, and served as Assistant Dean for Education at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine from 1998-2005.

He served as Program Director of the internal medicine residency from 2005-2015.
