Alisha Smith, CNP, is a certified family nurse practitioner who provides outpatient care with The Christ Hospital Physicians Primary Care.
She brings extensive experience in providing care as a registered nurse and as an advanced practice provider. She was inspired to pursue a career in medicine from her experience as an EMT after 9/11 in the U.S. Air Force. She was also inspired early in her career by a recognition of a need for healthcare providers in rural areas.
Alisha's care philosophy is centered on working with her patients to understand the source of their concerns and using their preferences, along with evidenced-based practices, to decide together on a course of action for their care.
She earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from Sinclair Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio University. She received her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
