Cheryl Thoerner, MSN, APRN-CNP, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians Heart & Vascular who provides inpatient care at the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn.
A career in medicine was a natural choice for Cheryl, as providing care runs in the family. Her mother was a neonatal nurse practitioner, and her sister is an emergency physician. Her approach to care is founded on treating each patient as an individual with their own unique needs.
Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychoneurobiology from The Ohio State University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Akron, and a Master's Degree in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati. She is board-certified as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Cheryl is an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and in her free time she enjoys cheering on her alma mater.
