Dr. Fixler received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He went on to train in New York where he earned his board-certification from the American Board of Family Medicine and completed additional training in surgery and emergency room medicine. Inspired to pursue medicine by his father, a practicing dermatologist in Cincinnati for more than 50 years, Dr. Fixler specializes in general family medicine. He also has a special interest in diabetes, regularly participating in ongoing diabetic research and in 2002; he co-founded Diabetic Services of Cincinnati, a local education endeavor.
