Julie completed her undergraduate studies at Miami University (Ohio), graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. She then obtained her Master's of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies at South College (Knoxville, TN). Julie served in leadership roles, such as the Solo Representative for the Cardiology Department at the Rex Hospital Department of Advanced Practice Providers. She also was the grant recipient of the 2010 AAPA's PA Foundation Community-Based Project for the implementation and sustainment of the Health for the Homeless project.
